The long lingering tones and bubbling water movements have a strong meditative, but at the same time also an enormously communicative effect.

Young and old are always fascinated and enthusiastic. The water spring bowl is always an attraction in pools and amusement parks and is used in a wide range of therapeutic applications. Of course, the bowl is a piece of jewelry for every living room, terrace and garden.

The greenish surface of the shells, achieved by patination, is an artificially created, early tarnishing with verdigris. In order to achieve this color in a natural way, the shell would have to be exposed to the weather for years. Only then would the acid and salt content in the air reveal a patina on the metal (such as with copper roofs).

The water spring bowls are cast from bronze and are filled with water, which absorbs the vibrations of the bowls at certain tones and begins to bubble like a fountain. The bowl is vibrated by slowly rubbing the polished handles with moistened palms. There is a buzzing sound accompanied by a ripple on the surface of the water. If you intensify the movement, the first drops of water begin to spray up. This can be increased to an impressive fountain-like bubbling. With different hand positions and changed pressure, different tones can be drawn out that create new patterns on the water surface. For example, first create a strudel by stirring in the water and then watch the bubbling change as you rub the bowl!

All water spring bowls must be damped from below in order to be able to swing freely and to ensure their full reverberation time (when struck) of almost 30 seconds. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
